In 1993

The company is started in 1993 by Andrea and Wil Elderman and since 2015 their daughter  Arianne is partner of the company.

How it began

It started in 1993, Andrea opened an antique store with antique dolls, antique home decoration and antique furniture and wooden floors.

Search for tiles

In 2002 they opened a new antique store and there was need for tiles in some areas, after some investigation they bumped in to a large quantity, a lorry full with old and new tiles all made in the North of Holland.

Specialised in Friese witjes

Trough the years selling tiles became number one, first an online website for Holland then an International webshop, it was very successful, the tiles are soled all over the world, from Germany to Djakarta, from the Philippines to New Zeeland and from Australia to the USA and Canada. Rozendonk is now specialist in the tiles that are produced in Holland, still just like they are produced since 1600 with the same materials and skills.

Showroom and stock

Now the showroom and stock is filled with tiles, over 40.000 plain white tiles in many white shades and hundreds of painted tiles and murals, small ones up to murals with 60 or more tiles with a copy of the skyline from Amsterdam from 1611, big murals of VOC ships and motifs with chicken sitting on a stick to be placed behind the stove.
